The DVD disk with 10000 times capacity greater then the current DVD that can hold 2000 film could be on the market with in 10 years. Team from Swinburne University of technology in Australia said by harshening Nano particles and a polarization dimension to existing technology, storage can be massively boosted without changing the size of disc. The researcher, who is already signed a deal with Samsung electronics, said the technique had allowed them to store 1.6 terabytes. One terabytes would be enough to hold 300 feature length films or 250000 songs. The extra dimension are the key of increased the ultra high capacity of the disc. Disc currently have 3 spatial dimensions but using Nano article the experts were able to introduce a spectral or color dimension as well as a polarization dimension.
